An amazingly short list of ingredients:
1 pound bittersweet chocolate
½ pound unsalted butter
6 large eggs
Heat oven to 425°. Grease a springform pan, or line it with waxed paper.
- Melt chocolate and butter together; place in a large bowl. Let cool before proceeding.
- With an electric beater, in a separate bowl, beat the eggs for 10 min. on high. Fold the eggs into the chocolate mixture.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 5 min.; cover with foil, then bake for 10 min. more. Cool for 45 min., then refrigerate for at least three hours.
- Carefully remove it from the springform pan and put on a plate for serving.
