8 ounces Baker’s unsweetened chocolate
1 cup unsalted butter
3 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 ½ cups unsifted all-purpose flour
2 cups chopped walnuts, optional
Heat oven to 350°. Grease a 13" x 9" pan; set aside.
In a saucepan, over very low heat, melt chocolate and butter, stirring constantly; cool slightly.
In a large mixer bowl, beat eggs, sugar, and vanilla on high speed, 10 min. Reduce speed to low, and blend in the chocolate mixture. Add flour, beating just to blend. Stir in the chopped walnuts. Spread in the baking pan.
Bake at 350° for 35 min., being careful not to over bake cool in pan; cut into squares. Makes 24 to 32 brownies.
