¾ cup brown sugar
¼ cup sugar
1/3 cup flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
4 cups pared, sliced tart apples
2 cups cranberries, fresh or frozen, whole or chopped
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
pastry for a 9 inch, two crust, deep-dish pie
Preheat oven to 325°.
- In large bowl, combine sugar, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Add fruit and mix well.
- Turn into the pastry-lined pan. Cover top of fruit with little dots of butter. Cover with the top crust; cut slits in it to allow steam to escape. Seal the edges.
- Bake for 40 min., or until golden brown.
