Chili-Marinated Sirloin

1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon finely-chopped, peeled, fresh ginger
¼ teaspoon Asian chili paste
1 pound (1 ¼" thick) London broil (a.k.a. boneless top sirloin)

Combine marinade ingredients in a bowl. Score the steak on both sides. Place in plastic food-storage bag with marinade; seal, then turn to coat. Marinate in refrigerator, 6 hours or overnight.

Coat broiler pan with cooking-spray. Heat broiler. Broil 6" from the heat for 15 min., (for medium-rare, between 140° – 150°). Remove to platter; let stand 5 min. before slicing.
