Chinese Pork Stir-Fry

¼ cup water
½ teaspoon hot chili oil
¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, pressed
1 teaspoon sugar
1 medium onion, cut in half and sliced
¾ pound pork chop, cut in ½" strips
1 package (10 ounces) frozen broccoli spears, cooked and cut in 2" pieces

Cooked brown rice

  1. In a small bowl, stir together the water, chili oil, soy sauce, garlic, and sugar.
  2. In large frying pan, sauté the onion in oil until translucent.
  3. Add the pork and sauté until browned.
  4. Add sauce, cover, and steam the pork until tender.
  5. Uncover and cook until the sauce reduces by half.
  6. Add the broccoli, and stir until coated.
  7. Serve over rice.
