“Stuff in a Pot” (Beef, Bulgur, & Tomatoes)

My friend Jeff and I used to work at the same company, during the time when we both had spouses and young children, and both of us were fathers who cooked. Jeff said he had several dishes that he had made up and would still make, to which he gave the laconic moniker “Stuff in a Pot”. I came up with this in a pinch one day, and called it Beef, Bulgur, & Tomatoes, but as soon as he told me the “stuff in a pot” story, i decided to call this stuff by the same name.

1 pound lean ground beef
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cups bulgur wheat
3 cups water
1 good shot of Worcestershire sauce
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1 can (12 ounces) Contadina Recipe-Ready Diced Tomatoes with Roasted Garlic

In a 5 quart pot, brown the beef; drain. Add olive oil and bulgur; sauté along with the beef for a few minutes. Add all other ingredients. Bring to a boil, and simmer 15 – 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serves 4 – 5
