1 cup margarine, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon baking soda
1 cup raisins
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 ½ cups sifted flour
3 cups uncooked rolled oats
1 cup chopped nuts
Heat oven to 350°.
- In a large bowl, mix together margarine, brown sugar, salt, and baking soda. Add raisins, white sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract, and beat well.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, rolled oats, and nuts. Add this mixture to the first bowl, stirring just to blend.
- Drop by tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 12 min. When done, remove from baking sheet and cool on a rack to room temperature.
