Spaghetti with Ricotta Cheese, Roman Style

1 pound spaghetti
½ pound ricotta cheese
¼ pound sweet butter
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
salt and black pepper to taste

Cook spaghetti in boiling salted water. In the meantime, place ricotta cheese and butter in skillet and simmer, stirring constantly, for 7 to 8 min. Drain spaghetti, combine with ricotta cheese mixture, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and black pepper.
