I love eating chili. I love chili recipes. I especially liked the ones that I’ve collected – it’s not a big collection, but many of them mean something to me. There’s Headquarters Chili, the first one I ever made; there’s Chili Buns, a food once found in pool halls; and Red Chili Nightmare, a complicated recipe (originally from a book that a now-long-lost friend lent me, but now found all over the Web ) pinto beans, beef, pork sausage, and almonds, plus an extremely long list of spices. I have not attempted it, but I better do it – life is short.
